Catalogue description

Wonga Wetlands – Abundance of Life translates the density and vitality of the wetlands into an exuberant field of colour and line. Tree forms, vegetation and glimpses of open space overlap across the surface, creating the sensation of a landscape alive with growth. Golden yellows dominate the composition, interrupted by rich rusts, greens, blues and dark calligraphic marks. The result is less a literal view than an energetic response to the abundance, complexity and movement of the wetland environment.
